Chat House 3D review

https://www.chathouse3d.com/

Bottom Line: Another adult MMO offering from Thrixxx studios. The name belies its best quality, serving as an adult social hook-up, while also offering plenty of sexual opportunities for your 3D avatar. Just don’t expect much in the realism department.

Overview

At first glance, Chat House 3D is hard to distinguish from similar adult games like 3D Sex Villa or 3DX Chat, but it does have a unique approach in that they try to emphasize chatting with adults before jumping straight into an impersonal sex simulator. I have to give them kudos for that.

If it weren’t for that single caveat, I think this game would be a complete copy-paste of what’s already out there. The game looks, acts, and functions exactly how you would expect, for anyone who has played an adult 3D game or Second Life.

Navigation/Usability

I’m just going to skip over the website itself, since it’s setup exactly like Thrixxx’s other games: grainy video trailer plays above the fold, breakdown of features and content all under one page. There’s absolutely no detailed info about the game, technical support, or payment info, they keep all of that behind the game software itself.

With that said, the game is simple to use and easy to understand after a few minutes of playing around. The camera can be kind of annoying, which is par for the course for these games.

Quality of Content

First of all, I would like to say that there seems to be a lot of generic and overly positive reviews of 3D adult games on the internet. I’m here to give realistic expectations, not get people to click my referral links for bucks.

My objective 3D Chat Room review of graphics puts them at roughly PS3 or Xbox 360 quality, which is actually not bad. The problem is that they utilize some pretty low-res shadows and lighting. What does this mean for those who don’t play a lot of videogames? You will encounter jagged shadows on smooth skin and many instances where avatars look blown-out and ugly.

That’s not even the biggest pet peeves I have with the graphics, though. The unbearably unrealistic and doll-ish hair is just unforgiveable. It sticks out like a comedy wig to me and I can’t last more than two minutes in the game because of it.

Sometimes the animation can be pretty good, as well as the sex moans, so it’s not all bad.

Quantity of Content

There’s no shortage of customization options for your avatar, which is to be expected. The catch here, of course, is that you will need to use real money to buy the cooler stuff from their e-shop. There’s also a glaring lack of background and setting variety. You’re basically stuck in this upscale purgatory with a bunch of other people where you chat in stiff sitting poses until you’re ready to go screw in some well-lit rooms that feel pulled straight from a cheesy romance novel.

Bonuses and Features

It was nice to see that VOIP was integrated into the game, although I didn’t really feel comfortable trying it out during my Chat House 3D review, for reasons stated above.

The game also utilizes teledildonics in the form of Vstroker’s masturbation line. Again, this is nice that they have the feature in the game, so it deserves points for creativity.

Price

Chat House advertises itself as a free-to-try game, the homepage makes no mention as to what this means, you just have to assume that means a limited access to see how fun the sex is in their game.

Don’t get your hopes up, there’s absolutely no adult content in the free version. You can even waste some coins on purchasing some neat upgrades for your avatar, only to find out that in order to do the nasty with anyone you have to pay another $20 bucks.

This isn’t an outlandish price for a game that has modern graphics, animations, backgrounds, etc. Chat House 3D doesn’t deserve that price of entry.

Chat House 3D Review Score

The idea behind Chat House 3D is good: create a casual setting to meet and chat with like-minded adults online in a safe virtual space. It’s like a virtual chatroom with the ability to “call” someone without giving out your number.

This works in concept, but the delivery just falls short, both in presentation quality and overall value. I can’t see myself ever paying more per month than every modern MMORPG out there and being okay with graphics that were only acceptable a decade ago without dozens of environments, thousands of customization options, and hundreds of side activities.

It takes a lot more to get me excited than some jiggly polygons and pixels on a woman’s avatar in Australia.
